The year 2021 has been a whirlwind. It had a lot of high highs and a lot of low lows. Some professional milestones I hit included taking my first intern, and hiring my first legal assistant. Some personal milestones I hit included starting this blog and taking strides towards my personal health goals. The biggest disaster of 2021, however, was my time management. I have always been someone who is known for their time management skills. But thanks to our new world order, I have had to adjust my plan of attack moving forward. Because I am on my own and almost everything is still virtual, I don't get the personal interaction I am accustomed to. During 2020 I was okay with this, because it came with many benefits. For instance, I got to complete prove ups by affidavits, hold hearings on Zoom, and participate in accountability groups. However, moving into 2021, the benefits were not enough. I began taking too much time for myself and was not productive. I really struggled to consistently work full work weeks. I'm a big fan of working whenever and however you are most productive, but you still need to work. I slowly reverted to doing the bare minimum, and this really affected my business. I have begun to dig myself out of this grave, but 2022 is going to be a growing year in that aspect. During 2022, I hope to combat the regressive habits I developed and take strides towards working full work weeks and reaching more of my personal health goals. I would love to know your thoughts about 2021 and your goals for 2022. Feel free to comment on this post and engage with each other. That way, we can begin to cultivate a community of support for one another.
