This year I am changing up my "Method for Success." Thanks to my reflection on the last year, I realize I need to make some changes.

First, I need to find a way to give myself more personal interaction. One way I am going to do this is to attend more in-person events now that they are starting to come back around. Another way I am going to do this is to go to more workout classes and try to interact with more people at my office. I have a small office in a building of small offices, and I am hoping to make new friends. I just wish there were more building events.

Second, I need to adjust my task organization. During 2021, I tried out Google Keep, Trello, Asana, and Microsoft ToDoist to keep track of business and client tasks. I now think the best system for me is to use Google Keep for business items and use Microsoft ToDoist for client items. This is thanks in large part to the high costs of other software and the clean, minimalist look of these applications. However, even though I have learned that I need to have digital task lists in order to easily transfer from home office to work office, I still struggle with the need to put pen to paper. Right now, I am keeping a notebook of the most important tasks for the week. However, I am currently agenda shopping. If I can find the right layout, I think it would help me to use an agenda for my most important weekly tasks. That way, it is easier to assign myself deadlines and plan for the week. When it is just a notebook, it is easy to rollover my tasks to the following week. It is also easy to plan too many or too little tasks for the week, which does not fare well. I am very interested to know what system you all use for task organization. Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Third, I may need to change around my digital calendar system. Right now, I use iCalendar as my main calendar and Calendly as my scheduling software. I absolutely love this system, but now that I am taking on assistants and interns, I realize I might need a more communal system. For instance, I can utilize the MyCase calendar as a more central system for work events. This would allow my assistant to add items to my MyCase calendar. Plus, it would still show up on my iCalendar, because I am easily able to link the two. What I am not able to link, however, is the MyCase calendar to Calendly scheduling software. I can only connect iCalendar or Google Calendar. So, maybe I need to transfer to using Google Calendar or another scheduling software. What calendar system and scheduling software do you all use? I would love to know your thoughts on the subject!
